What Lasting does well
Lasting offers self-guided sessions for couples. Its published materials describe foundations in attachment theory and emotionally focused therapy, with research from several sources. Calling it only “the Gottman method” would miss that wider basis.
The lessons cover communication, conflict, trust, money, family and emotional connection. Its introductory content lets you explore the approach; confirm the current free selection inside the app.
Lasting also advertises live therapist-led workshops, including opportunities for questions. That differs from ongoing one-to-one care with an assigned therapist. Check the current workshop schedule and what your subscription includes.
Where DreamDuo is different
DreamDuo doesn't try to diagnose or fix anything. It's about day-to-day life together.
The main part is shared goals. You set one up, you both add progress, and the app shows whether you're on track. Around that sit smaller daily habits:
- A daily question you both answer privately, then reveal together.
- The Sunday Summit, a five minute weekly check-in on how your plans are going.
- Quick nudges with text, photos or sounds, plus mood tracking and polls for fast decisions.
- Future letters, locked until a date or until you finish a goal.
The emphasis is on routines and progress. DreamDuo does not provide a structured relationship curriculum or therapist-led workshops.

DreamDuo Pro is listed at $3.99 monthly or $39.99 annually in the US App Store. Lasting lists several in-app purchase amounts, but the listing does not consistently identify their billing periods.
